Two Researchers from the College of Information Technology Publish a Prestigious Q2-Ranked Scientific Paper on Healthcare Service Quality Duhaa Fadill Abbas In a new scientific achievement that adds to the growing research portfolio of the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon, PhD candidate Mohammed Khudair Al-Khafaji from the Department of Software, in collaboration with Professor Dr. Eman Saleh Al-Shammery, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, have published a peer-reviewed research article titled: “Predicting Healthcare Service Quality Based on a Kalman-Optimized Bi-LSTM-Inspired Deep Learning Model” The paper was published in the Kerbala International Journal of Modern Science (KIJOMS), a globally recognized journal indexed in the Q2 quartile, and issued by the University of Kerbala. Link to the publication: https://kijoms.uokerbala.edu.iq/home/vol11/iss2/6/ Abstract Summary: This study aims to predict the quality of healthcare services from the patients perspective by employing an advanced artificial intelligence model that integrates a Bi-LSTM (Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory) architecture with the Kalman Filter technique. The model addresses the challenges of data loss and inconsistency in healthcare service evaluation. The researchers based their analysis on datasets collected from both Iraqi and American hospitals. The proposed model demonstrated a significant performance advantage over conventional deep learning and traditional statistical methods, establishing it as a promising tool for enhancing healthcare quality and supporting informed decision-making in the medical sector. This accomplishment reflects the ongoing commitment of the College of Information Technology to advancing applied scientific research and offering intelligent solutions that contribute to the development of the healthcare infrastructure and the well-being of the community.
