Information Networks Department Students at the University of Babylon on a Scientific Trip to the Holy Alawi Shrine

The Information Networks Department at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, organized a scientific trip for fourth-year students to the Holy Alawi Shrine, under the supervision of a distinguished group of faculty members. The students and their supervisors were warmly received by shrine officials, who arranged a series of specialized workshops focusing on career opportunities available for the department’s graduates.
The workshops covered various topics, including server management, fiber-optic cables, wireless communications, as well as application and web development. Additionally, students were introduced to the smart camera system at the shrine, with an explanation of its role in counting visitors during major pilgrimage events and detecting suspicious individuals across the city of Najaf. This system operates through an integrated network comprising 3,000 surveillance cameras.
Faculty members and officials at the Holy Alawi Shrine commended the competence of Information Networks graduates from the University of Babylon, emphasizing their ability to contribute effectively to the job market with their outstanding skills in networking, communications, and information technology.
