Faculty Members from the Cybersecurity Department Receive a Letter of Appreciation for Publishing in a Prestigious International Journal

The President of the University of Babylon has honored a group of distinguished female faculty members with a letter of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding scientific efforts in publishing a high-quality research paper in a reputable international journal with an advanced academic ranking.
Dr. Noor Fadhel and Assistant Lecturer Noor Razaq from the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Information Technology, in collaboration with Lecturer Hadeel Qasim from the College of Science for Women, were awarded this recognition following the publication of their research titled:
"A Victim Tracking System by Recognizing Signs of Violence Using Long-Short Term Memory"
in the International Journal of Safety and Security Engineering, a Scopus-indexed journal ranked in the second quartile (Q2).
The research proposes the development of an intelligent system capable of tracking victims of violence by detecting behavioral and physical signs of abuse, utilizing the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm. This contribution marks a significant advancement in integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the field of societal safety and security.
This scientific achievement highlights the growing research stature of the University of Babylon and reflects the commitment of its academic staff to addressing contemporary societal challenges through innovative and data-driven solutions.
