The Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Information Technology Holds Final Year Project Discussions for Senior Students in a Scientifically Enriching Atmosphere

The Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Information Technology conducted the final project presentations for fourth-year students, in a setting that reflected the culmination of their academic and practical journey. The event showcased a rich environment of scientific engagement, innovation, and technical creativity.
The discussions were held under the direct supervision and meticulous follow-up of the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khalfa Obaid, who emphasized the significance of this academic milestone in shaping graduates capable of addressing real-world technological challenges. He affirmed that these projects are not only a requirement for graduation but also a testament to the students growth in analytical thinking, technical skills, and cybersecurity expertise.
A total of **69 students** presented their graduation projects, which were evaluated by **10 specialized academic committees** distributed across the department s laboratories and lecture halls. The projects covered a wide range of advanced topics, including **network security, cyber threat detection, digital forensics, cryptographic systems, cloud security**, and **the use of artificial intelligence in cyber defense**.
The quality and depth of the projects demonstrated a high level of technical maturity, problem-solving capabilities, and innovation. Students impressed the committees with professional presentations, interactive visual aids, and in-depth analyses, reflecting a deep understanding of their academic discipline. Many of the projects were recognized as practically applicable in real-world cybersecurity environments, underlining the students readiness to enter the workforce and contribute meaningfully to the tech sector.
