Faculty Member from the College of Information Technology Achieves a Top Ranking in the National Research Competition for Combating Corruption

In line with its commitment to advancing scientific research and reinforcing the academic role in addressing national challenges, the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon proudly announces that Assistant Lecturer Ali Hussein Mahdi Aziz Al-Asadi, a faculty member at the college, has secured a top-ten ranking in the national research competition organized by the Federal Commission of Integrity under the slogan "Join the Battle Against Corruption."

Mr. Al-Asadi participated in the competition with his research paper titled "The Role of Financial Technology in Promoting Transparency and Combating Corruption", in which he explored the intersection of technological innovation and institutional integrity. His paper was recognized among the top ten entries, selected from dozens of submissions by researchers and academics representing various national institutions.

The winners were honored during an official ceremony hosted by the Commission in Baghdad, where Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Lami, President of the Federal Commission of Integrity, emphasized in his address that "the fight against corruption is a collective national responsibility that begins with the individual and extends to the highest levels of leadership." He praised the innovative and practical ideas presented by the participants, underscoring their significance in identifying sources of corruption and proposing scientifically grounded solutions.

In a statement, Assistant Lecturer Al-Asadi expressed that his participation stemmed from a deep belief in the necessity of leveraging knowledge and technology to address societal issues. He noted that the competition tackled contemporary topics that resonate with the core challenges facing public institutions. He also extended his appreciation to the College of Information Technology for its unwavering support, particularly from the college’s leadership and academic departments, in fostering a research-driven environment and encouraging active involvement in national academic initiatives.
