Information Networks Department Organizes a Course on Positive Thinking Development and Personal Success Strategies

Within the objectives of the Information Networks Department to enhance students’ personal and social skills and support their academic and professional development the department in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Information Technology organized a training course titled Positive Thinking Development Strategies and Tools for Personal Success presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Alaa Shawqi Jaber
The course was attended by a group of students under the supervision of several faculty members from the department and aimed to introduce students to the concept of positive thinking and how to apply it effectively in their daily lives
The course defined positive thinking as a mental approach focusing on recognizing the positive aspects of situations seeking solutions rather than dwelling on problems expecting positive outcomes and learning constructively from difficult experiences and highlighted its importance in improving mental health reducing stress and enhancing decision-making skills with confidence and flexibility it also emphasized that positive thinking increases motivation to achieve goals enhances the ability to face and overcome challenges and strengthens social relationships making individuals more acceptable to others
The course also covered the distinction between realistic positivity and false positivity and the significance of positive thinking for students and successful individuals in addition to the impact of thoughts on behavior and outcomes
By the end of the course participants were able to understand positive thinking in a clear and simplified way identify and manage negative thoughts use quick positive tools in their daily lives build small sustainable habits and enhance their relationships and reactions
