Within the framework of the Department of Information Networking’s commitment to advancing its academic and research capacities and strengthening scientific partnerships, a delegation from the department conducted a scientific visit to the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad. The delegation included a number of faculty members and students and aimed to enhance academic cooperation and exchange expertise in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
This visit aligns with the department’s strategic vision to broaden its scientific and research horizons and to elevate the quality of its academic outcomes in line with contemporary technological developments. During the visit, the delegation explored the academic departments and specialized laboratories at the College of Artificial Intelligence, gaining insight into the digital infrastructure of the laboratories and the latest equipment and technologies employed in teaching and research. The visit also included a review of ongoing research projects and an overview of methodologies used in student preparation and the implementation of practical activities within advanced learning environments, thereby strengthening opportunities for academic and scientific exchange between the two institutions. In addition, discussions were held regarding summer training programs, specialized workshops, and mechanisms for adopting modern academic programs aimed at enhancing students’ practical skills.
The meeting emphasized the importance of establishing strategic partnerships among Iraqi universities to support scientific research and the application of artificial intelligence across various domains. Such collaboration enables the department to keep pace with revealing rapid developments in networking technologies and digital infrastructure, reflecting the Department of Information Networking’s commitment to its role in supporting higher education and scientific research at the national level.
The visit concluded with mutual affirmation of readiness to continue coordination and future cooperation in a manner that supports the department’s objectives of advancing research quality, fostering technological innovation, and developing the skills of both students and faculty members. This cooperation further reinforces the department’s position as a key contributor to the development of an advanced national digital ecosystem.
