IT Student Wins Silver Medal and Qualifies for National Karate Team Trials

In line with the Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Information Technology’s commitment to supporting its students and encouraging excellence across academic and extracurricular domains, a notable sporting achievement has been added to the students’ record of successes.
Student Sajad Haider Kazem from the Department of Cybersecurity won the silver medal, securing second place at the Iraq Clubs Championship for Southern Baghdad Provinces for the under-21 juniors and youth categories, held in Karbala Governorate, competing in karate.
The championship saw wide participation from various clubs, and Sajad’s outstanding performance has earned him qualification for the national team trials, reflecting his high level of discipline and skill.
This achievement underscores the College of Information Technology and the Department of Cybersecurity’s dedication to nurturing student talents and supporting young achievers, contributing to the development of well-rounded individuals capable of proudly representing the college and the university in diverse national and international arenas.
