Duhaa Fadhil Abbas
Within the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), and in alignment with Pillar Five and Paragraph Three concerning the preparation and dissemination of awareness materials, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, in cooperation with the college’s scientific departments, organized an awareness activity through the preparation of educational posters highlighting water scarcity and the water-related challenges facing Iraq at the present time.
This activity comes as part of the college’s efforts to enhance community awareness of critical environmental issues, particularly water scarcity, which represents one of the most significant strategic challenges affecting sustainable development and societal stability. The posters were designed in an informative and educational manner to illustrate the causes of water scarcity and its impacts on various sectors, while also emphasizing the importance of rationalizing water consumption and preserving water resources.
The posters were displayed on electronic screens within the college to ensure that the awareness messages reach the widest possible segment of students and staff, thereby promoting a culture of shared responsibility in protecting natural resources.
The activity was prepared by Ms. Duhaa Fadhil Abbas and Ms. Safaa Sameer as part of ongoing efforts to support educational initiatives aimed at raising environmental awareness within the university community, in line with the college’s commitment to promoting awareness programs that serve society and support sustainable development.
