University of Babylon s College of Information Technology Hosts the Second Conference on Innovations in Intelligent Informatics, Networking, and Cybersecurity

Under the patronage and attendance of the President of the University of Babylon, Professor Dr. Ameen Ajeel Yaser, the College of Information Technology, under the supervision of its Dean, Professor Dr. Wissam Sameer Baheya, organized the second annual conference on innovations in Informatics, Networking, and Cybersecurity (2nd International Conference on Innovations of Intelligent Informatics, Networking, and Cybersecurity - 3INC 24), in collaboration with the global Springer 2 organization. The conference was also attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mansour Al-Khafaji, along with deans, faculty members, and students from the university.
The conference was opened with a speech by the Dean of the College, who emphasized the importance of hosting scientific conferences that promote academic and scientific excellence, especially in the field of information technology, to keep up with the rapid technological advancements globally.
He added that 15 research papers were accepted for participation in the conference, representing three different countries: Iraq, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Dr. Safaa Al-Mamouri, the head of the organizing committee, explained that the conference’s research papers fall into three categories: Information Systems, Intelligent Computation Methods, and Cybersecurity and Privacy. He pointed out that the goal of the conference is to be a scientific icon for exploring the latest developments in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, with results that would have an impact not only in academic circles but also in various technological fields.
The conference included several key topics, including a lecture presented by the conference s keynote speaker, Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, a documentary film about the college s departments, and on the following day, a lecture by Dr. Mariam Munim, along with scientific sessions and a lecture for postgraduate students from the ITC UOB Club.
