College of Information Technology Launches an Awareness Campaign to Combat Drug Abuse

As part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, the College of Information Technology has launched an educational campaign aimed at mitigating this growing concern. The campaign involved displaying awareness posters on the college’s digital screens and posting informational materials on walls throughout the campus.

This initiative aligns with the college’s commitment to social responsibility, emphasizing the importance of educating students about the health, psychological, and social risks associated with drug abuse, as well as effective strategies for prevention.

The campaign was carried out under the supervision of M. Programmer Ali Salah, Head of the Media Division, and M. Engineer Duhaa Fadill Abbas, Head of the College Website Unit. Both worked on designing and preparing the awareness materials, which included essential information on the harmful effects of drug abuse, along with motivational messages encouraging students to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

The initiative received positive engagement from students and faculty members, who emphasized the significance of promoting such awareness efforts within the academic environment and called for continuous educational activities that foster a safe and healthy campus community.
