It was established in 2009-2010 under the name of the College of Computer Technology, then its name was changed to the College of Information Technology in 2012, as a result of the development of scientific curricula. It is one of the advanced colleges in the university in terms of infrastructure and laboratories. The college grants a bachelor's degree (computer science) according to the departments mentioned above. The college follows the course system. Postgraduate studies (Master - PhD) in the software department.

Workshop at the College of Information Technology on Achieving the College s Vision, Mission, and Goals Duhaa Fadill Abbas The Quality Assurance Department, in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Department and in coordination with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Information Technology, organized a workshop titled "Achieving the Vision, Mission, and Goals of the College." The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Nors Nasser Allah Khudhair and Assistant Programmer Shaker Hamid Shaker, with the attendance of faculty members and students. The workshop included a detailed explanation of the college s vision, mission, and announced goals, which were displayed on the college s website and posters. The session saw active participation from attendees, who provided their suggestions and feedback through a survey distributed during the event. All opinions and suggestions were taken into account when updating the vision, mission, and goals, which significantly contributes to enhancing the quality of academic and administrative work and strengthens the college s role in achieving institutional accreditation.
