The College of Information Technology held a memorial service to honor the memory of its late student, Sajjad Malik. The solemn gathering was attended by the college’s dean, faculty members, administrative staff, students, friends of the deceased, and members of his family, in an atmosphere filled with sorrow and heartfelt prayers.

The event commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, performed by student Saad Khalid. This was followed by a speech from the Dean, Professor Dr. Wesam Sameer Bhaya, who expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of one of the college’s distinguished students, praising Sajjad’s noble character and his dedication to academic life.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Habeeb Al-Azzawi delivered a commemorative awareness lecture, dedicating its spiritual reward to the soul of the late student. He emphasized the importance of nurturing community awareness around human values and faith in divine destiny and decree.

The memorial also featured a collection of elegiac poems presented by Mr. Yasser Saad Al-Khazraji. His words captured the profound sense of loss and grief, while reflecting on Sajjad’s virtues and the special place he held in the hearts of his peers.

In a heartfelt gesture of loyalty and compassion, the college warmly welcomed the family and loved ones of Sajjad, embodying the deep bond between students and the academic institution.
