The Department of Cybersecurity Organizes a Voluntary Campaign to Distribute Gifts on the Occasion of Labor Day

As part of its commitment to fostering social responsibility and encouraging student engagement in community service, the Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Information Technology – University of Babylon organized a voluntary campaign to distribute gifts at the Municipality of Al-Hilla, in celebration of International Labor Day, observed on May 1st.

This initiative was carried out by third-year students from the department, under the supervision of Ms. Shahad Jawad Nasser and Ms. Nuha Kareem Hameed. The participating students distributed symbolic gifts as an expression of gratitude and appreciation for the dedicated efforts of workers across various public service sectors.

The campaign reflects the college s dedication to cultivating a spirit of civic engagement and volunteerism among its students. It also underscores the vital role academic institutions play in strengthening ties with the broader community and promoting values of solidarity and national pride.

The initiative was warmly received by the employees of the municipality, who expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful gesture. The campaign stands as a testament to the students’ awareness and their strong sense of social responsibility, marking a meaningful contribution to the celebration of Labor Day.
