Strategic Collaboration Between the College of Information Technology and Al-Mottahida Industrial Company

As part of its commitment to fostering academic-industry partnerships, the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon welcomed a delegation from Al-Mottahida Company for Packaging Materials and Raw Plastics Industries Ltd. The visit aimed to explore avenues for joint cooperation, focusing on supporting students and graduates through training and development programs designed to enhance their readiness for integration into the labor market.

The company s delegation included:


- Mr. Salah Mahdi – Administrative Director
- Mr. Naseer Majid – Human Resources Manager
- Ms. Hadeer Nafea – Marketing Department Officer



The delegation was received by:


- Prof. Dr. Wesam Sameer Bhaya– Dean of the College of Information Technology
- Prof. Dr. Al-Harith Abdulkarim Abdullah – Head of the Department of Information Networks
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Ameer Al-Haq Adel – Administrative Assistant Dean



This initiative was coordinated through the Department of Information Networks and the Rehabilitation and Employment Division within the college. It underscores the vital role of collaboration between academic institutions and the industrial sector in developing students’ technical competencies and aligning their skills with market demands, especially in the fields of technology and manufacturing.

During the visit, the company’s representatives expressed their strong interest in attracting young talent and providing meaningful summer internship opportunities for students. Additionally, they pledged to offer employment opportunities for the top ten graduates from each department within the College of Information Technology, as well as from the Colleges of Engineering and Science at the University of Babylon. This initiative is aimed at supporting distinguished students and motivating academic excellence.

This collaboration represents a continuation of the college’s strategic efforts to build effective bridges with the private sector, ensuring that students are equipped with practical skills and empowered to enter the workforce with confidence and competence.
