Pre-Writing Seminar for PhD Student Noor Kazem Ayoub, Department of Software Engineering / College of Information Technology – University of Babylon Duhaa Fadill Abbas As part of the scientific activities for postgraduate students, the Department of Software Engineering at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, organized a pre-writing seminar for PhD student Noor Kazem Ayoub. The seminar was held to discuss the scientific details of her dissertation titled: "An Enhanced Multi-Robot Path Planning Approach Using Hybrid Adaptive Dimension Algorithm with a Swarm-Based Algorithm." The seminar was supervised by Dr. Ali Hadi Hassan and was attended by the scientific committee, composed of a distinguished group of specialized professors listed in the table below. During the seminar, the student provided a comprehensive explanation of the objectives and scientific significance of her research. This work focuses on introducing an effective hybrid approach for planning optimal paths for multiple large-scale robotic vehicles (RVs) competing to reach a common goal while considering the available spaces for each vehicle. This ensures the avoidance of obstacles and the narrow pathways that could hinder their movement. The researcher based her work on a detailed environmental analysis to determine a constant weight for obstacles. She incorporated two main parameters: the Safety Factor (SF) and the Objective Factor (OBJ) to preliminarily assess each position. The Safety Factor represents the sum of the obstacle weights, while the Objective Factor combines both movement cost and safety. This framework enhances the robots ability to select the most optimal paths.
