Artist Saad Mubarak Donates Two Artworks to the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon in Recognition of its Support for the Arts

Professor Dr. Wesam Sameer Bhaya, Dean of the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon, recently welcomed artist Saad Mubarak, a distinguished member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, Babylon Branch. During the meeting, Mr. Mubarak expressed his deep gratitude to the College for its unwavering support and encouragement of the arts and artists.

Mr. Saad Mubarak is renowned for his exceptional work focusing on Iraqi heritage and folklore. His artistic journey includes participation in numerous exhibitions both locally and internationally, where he has successfully highlighted the authenticity of the Iraqi cultural identity through his creative works.

During the meeting, which took place at the Dean s office, Mr. Mubarak presented two of his unique heritage-inspired paintings as a modest gift, symbolizing his appreciation and respect for the College s administration. He noted that this gesture reflects his acknowledgment of the College s significant role in fostering artistic expression, particularly during the College’s annual graduation projects exhibition, where his contributions through his art exhibition were met with widespread acclaim. He also emphasized his participation in the University Day celebrations, further showcasing the College’s commitment to promoting cultural initiatives.

Mr. Mubarak affirmed that this symbolic act of appreciation reflects his eagerness to continue collaborating with the College and various academic and cultural institutions. He emphasized that art is a universal language that strengthens the Iraqi identity by bridging the past and the present.

In response, Professor Dr. Wesam Sameer Bhaya expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr. Saad Mubarak for this thoughtful and generous gesture. He commended Mr. Mubarak s outstanding artistic contributions and his innovative approach to documenting and preserving Iraqi heritage.
