A Software Department Student Secures Tenth Place in the Short Story Competition

In a remarkable literary achievement befitting Iraq’s creative youth, Mustafa Ahmed Mohammed Hassan, a student from the Department of Software, claimed the tenth position in the Short Story Competition, one of the most significant events of the 9th edition of the Sacred Defense Fatwa Cultural Festival. The competition drew broad participation from 108 writers representing four Arab and Islamic countries.

Mustafa’s story bore a striking title:
"There is no good in me but that I fight until I am killed,"
capturing the true spirit of sacrifice and devotion embodied by the heroes of the Sacred Defense Fatwa in their noble battlefields.

This victory came following a rigorous evaluation by a specialized jury panel, composed of three esteemed professors.

It was not Mustafa’s sole literary accomplishment, as he had previously secured second place in the “A Nation Reads” competition at the level of Babil Governorate. This ongoing record of excellence reflects his continued distinction and multifaceted contributions in the realms of culture and knowledge.

Mustafa Ahmed’s achievement stands as an inspiring example of the exceptional talents nurtured within the Department of Software, underscoring that creativity is not confined by one’s field of study. Rather, it is fueled by talent, refined by passion, and driven by a deep love for the homeland.
