On the morning of Monday, June 30, 2025, the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon welcomed candidates applying to sit for the competitive examination required for admission to postgraduate programs (Master’s and Doctorate) for the academic year 2025–2026. The examination was conducted across the college’s three academic departments: Software, Information Networks, and Cybersecurity, in accordance with the regulations and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The college witnessed a notable turnout of applicants competing for admission under both the general and private channels, including categories designated for the families of martyrs and political prisoners. The exam took place in a well-organized and calm environment characterized by transparency and discipline.

Professor Dr. Wesam Sameer Bhaya, Dean of the College, emphasized that the competitive examination constitutes a core criterion for evaluating applicants, alongside their academic performance. He affirmed the college’s commitment to providing an optimal electronic testing environment that ensures fairness and equal opportunities for all candidates.

The examination was conducted in the college’s scientifically equipped laboratories, under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Iman Saleh Al-Shammari, along with the heads of academic departments. Additionally, the administrative associate dean and several faculty members were tasked with monitoring the examination process inside the laboratories. A specialized technical committee was also formed to provide on-site support and ensure a prompt response to any technical issues, contributing to the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the examination.

In conclusion, the College Council extended its sincere wishes for success to all applicants and reaffirmed the college’s ongoing dedication to enhancing and advancing its postgraduate programs in alignment with the highest standards of academic quality and accreditation..
