Researchers from the College of Information Technology Publish a Scientific Study on Privacy Preservation in Web Page Phishing Detection Duhaa Fadill Abbas As part of the Information Network Department at the College of Information Technology strategic vision to foster high-quality scientific research and strengthen cybersecurity efforts, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahdi Al-Salih and Lecturer Hiba Ameer Jaber from the Department of Information Networks, in collaboration with Professor Dr. Mahdi Abadi Maan, Head of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science – Al-Mustaqbal University, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Kadhim Khudair from Al-Mustaqbal University, have published a distinguished research paper entitled: "Privacy-preserving over encrypted data for web page phishing detection" The study was published in the Journal of Discrete Mathematical Sciences and Cryptography, issued by the prestigious international publisher TARU PUBLICATIONS. The journal is ranked in Q1 within the Scopus database and Q2 within the Clarivate index, reflecting the paper’s high scientific value and quality. The research addresses one of the most pressing contemporary challenges in the field of cybersecurity: maintaining user privacy during phishing detection processes. The authors propose an innovative approach that integrates Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) classification with TF-IDF feature selection, ensuring accurate phishing detection while preserving the confidentiality of encrypted user data. The proposed model demonstrated remarkable performance, achieving an accuracy rate of 93.5%, along with significantly reduced computational and communication overhead. These features make it a practical and efficient solution for real-time phishing detection in sensitive environments that demand both speed and data security. This scientific achievement underscores the College of Information Technology s ongoing commitment to research excellence and its dedication to addressing modern technological challenges, thereby reinforcing its academic and scientific standing at the international level. ??
