The College of Information Technology Organizes a Workshop on Energy Consumption Rationalization

As part of its awareness initiatives and its commitment to sustainable development, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Information Technology – University of Babylon, in collaboration with the scientific departments of the college, organized an educational workshop titled:
“Rationalizing Energy Consumption in Homes and Facilities.”
The workshop was delivered by Ms. Fatima Hassan and Mr. Ahmed Abdul-Karim, and was attended by a group of faculty members, staff, and individuals interested in environmental and energy-related issues.

The workshop addressed a number of key topics focusing on the importance of efficient energy use in daily life, particularly in government offices and public and private institutions. It also presented practical guidelines and innovative techniques aimed at improving energy efficiency and minimizing waste.

The main objective of the workshop was to raise community awareness about the principles of energy conservation, and to shed light on the environmental and economic impacts of excessive energy consumption. The workshop emphasized the critical role of individuals and institutions in adopting sustainable solutions that ensure the optimal use of available resources.

This activity reflects the college s ongoing commitment to supporting awareness-based initiatives and its active role in addressing contemporary environmental challenges by integrating academic knowledge with practical application to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
