The College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon participated in serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) on their way to Karbala through the university’s procession, which included a number of esteemed professors, staff members, and students.

In this context, an intellectual lecture was held today under the title: “The Renaissance of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Between the Jurisprudence of Obedience and the Jurisprudence of Responsibility – A Qur’anic Reading”, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Habib Al-Azzawi from the Department of Software at the college. The event was attended by the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Muthaq Talib Al-Jubouri, the Head of the Academics Syndicate in Babylon Governorate, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, along with deans and professors from various colleges of the University of Babylon, as well as its staff members. The lecture took place at the location of the procession in the city of Hilla – 60th Street – Pole 299.

The session witnessed active engagement from the audience, shedding light on the Qur’anic implications of Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) renaissance and its intellectual and humanitarian dimensions.
