The Council of the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon, chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Wesam Sameer Bhaya, convened a meeting with postgraduate students on the occasion of the commencement of the new academic year.

The Dean opened the meeting with a welcoming address, congratulating the students on their admission to postgraduate studies. He emphasized that this stage constitutes a pivotal turning point in their academic and research journey, requiring serious commitment and sustained efforts to achieve scientific excellence.

The meeting included a set of academic directives and guidelines aimed at providing a clear roadmap for students at the outset of their studies. Emphasis was placed on adherence to ministerial and university regulations, whether related to coursework, grading systems, or their affiliation with the respective academic departments. Furthermore, attention was drawn to the importance of engaging in rigorous scientific research and contributing to publications in internationally recognized journals, in line with the college’s mission and its goals of strengthening academic standing.

The Dean, together with the Associate Deans and Heads of Departments, underscored the necessity of continuous communication between students and their faculty members, as well as the importance of proposing ideas and initiatives that could advance their research and academic endeavors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the students expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which reflects the college’s dedication to supporting their journey from the very first step in their academic pursuit.
