Department of Information Networks Organizes the “3 Minutes” Competition to Evaluate Doctoral Dissertations

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of scientific research and to encourage postgraduate students to strengthen their research and presentation skills, the Department of Information Networks at the College of Information Technology – University of Babylon organized a special evaluation session for doctoral students participating in the “3 Minutes” competition. The competition is designed to challenge participants to present the core of their dissertation in just three minutes, using a clear, concise, and academically rigorous approach.

The session was conducted in the presence of a specialized academic committee chaired by Professor Dr. Saad Taleb Hassoun, with the membership of Professor Dr. Huda Naji Nawaf and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahdi Mohammed. The committee evaluated the presentations based on precise criteria, including research quality, presentation style, clarity and brevity of delivery, as well as the extent to which the research contributes to advancing the field of information networks.

The doctoral candidates delivered distinguished presentations that reflected the depth of their research efforts, demonstrating both scientific accuracy and persuasive communication skills. Their ability to present complex findings in an engaging and accessible manner brought an interactive and creative spirit to the session.

This competition reflects the department’s vision to foster innovation and creativity among postgraduate students, while equipping them with advanced academic competencies that enhance the reputation of research within the department and the college at both the local and international levels.
