GDGB Club at the College of Information Technology Organizes Educational School Tours to Introduce Students to College Departments and Future Technologies Duhaa Fadill Abbas As part of its efforts to enhance technical knowledge and inspire the next generation of innovators, the GDGB Student Developers Club at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Murtada Dawood, a faculty member of the Cybersecurity Department, conducted a series of direct educational sessions for high school students. These sessions included on-site visits to Al-Waeli High School for Gifted Students and Dr. Madiha Al-Bayramani Preparatory School. During the sessions, students were introduced to the various departments of the college, exploring the world of cybersecurity and digital protection technologies, reviewing software development and application design, and gaining insight into information networks and digital infrastructure. The sessions also included hands-on interactive activities, such as group encryption challenges and programming simple solutions to practical problems, giving students the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios. In addition to the educational aspect, the sessions featured lively interaction between club members and students, providing them with the opportunity to ask questions, discuss their ideas, and explore potential future projects. This engagement helped foster their passion for technology and innovation. This initiative aligns with the GDGB Club’s strategy to broaden students’ horizons from early educational stages, preparing a generation equipped with digital knowledge and skills capable of facing future challenges and contributing to the development of an innovative technological environment.
