College of Information Technology Hosts an Introductory Session for First-Year Students Organized by the GDGB Developers Club

The GDGB Developers Club at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon organized an introductory session for first-year students under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Murtadha Dawood Mohammed Ali, a faculty member in the Cybersecurity Department. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to preparing new students and providing them with a solid foundation for a successful academic journey from the very start.

The session covered several key topics, beginning with College 101, which introduced students to the essentials of university life, followed by a focus on academic report-writing skills and their role in enhancing overall academic performance. It also included an overview of crucial educational resources—both digital and library-based—that students can leverage to support independent learning and develop their research and analytical skills.

Participants actively engaged in discussions on the best strategies for utilizing these resources and managing their study time effectively, fostering their integration into the academic environment and enhancing both their technical and academic competencies.

This initiative is part of the college’s broader strategy to cultivate a supportive and motivating educational environment, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve academic excellence and prepare for future challenges in the field of information technology.
