The Software Department at the College of Information Technology organized a workshop titled Social Media: Balancing Free Expression and Community Awareness, presented by Dr. Hiba Mohammed and Asst. Lecturer Abrar Saad, a faculty member of the department.

The workshop focused on examining the role of social media platforms in enabling individuals’ free expression while exploring how these platforms can be leveraged to foster positive community awareness. It also addressed strategies for engaging with digital content responsibly and promoting active and informed participation in online environments.

Participants actively engaged in discussions through practical examples and real-world cases, highlighting the importance of using social media effectively to serve the community and cultivate a digitally conscious culture.

This initiative reflects the College of Information Technology’s commitment to enhancing the digital communication skills of students and faculty and raising community awareness through the responsible use of technology.
