His Eminence Ayatollah Al-Madresi Delivers a Lecture on the Ethical and Educational Values Inspired by Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra Duhaa Fadill Abbas As part of the academic and cultural collaboration between the College of Information Technology and the College of Science, the Council of the College of Information Technology participated in the cultural festival organized by the two colleges on the occasion of the birth of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The festival was honored by the presence of His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyid Hadi Al-Madresi, who delivered a religious lecture addressing the role of higher education and the university’s mission in cultivating a generation that is intellectually and morally well-rounded. In his lecture, His Eminence emphasized that emulating the path of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) is the way to build a balanced character. He explored fundamental intellectual themes of higher education, posing critical questions: “Why do we seek knowledge, and why do we attend the university? Is the university a place to acquire knowledge or a platform to build social networks?” He called for redefining the noble objectives of academic existence. His Eminence further highlighted that the ideal solution lies in taking Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra as a role model in purity, honor, and virtuous qualities for both men and women, stressing that following her example strengthens the intellectual and moral development of the new generation. The festival witnessed broad official and academic participation, including members of the Council of the College of Information Technology, university leaders, students, and staff. The activities included celebratory poetic performances, recitations, and concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students engaged thoughtfully, reflecting their awareness and desire for intellectual dialogue and active participation in the religious lecture.
