The College of Information Technology Organizes a Training Workshop on Modern Techniques in Forensic Medicine in Collaboration with Hammurabi College of Medicine Duhaa Fadill Abbas In line with the university’s strategic direction toward strengthening interdisciplinary academic cooperation and enhancing practical, application-based learning, the College of Information Technology, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at Hammurabi College of Medicine, organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Modern Techniques in the Study of Forensic Medicine.” The workshop was held at the Anatomy Laboratory of Hammurabi College of Medicine. The workshop witnessed active participation from students of the Software Engineering and Information Networks departments at the College of Information Technology, in cooperation with a group of students from the College of Medicine. This collaborative initiative reflects the importance of integrating technological expertise with medical sciences, particularly in fields where digital technologies play an increasingly vital role in forensic analysis and medical investigation. The workshop focused on introducing participants to the latest technologies employed in forensic medicine, highlighting the role of digital systems and modern technological tools in supporting diagnostic and analytical processes, enhancing laboratory efficiency, and improving the accuracy and reliability of forensic outcomes. Participants were also provided with valuable hands-on exposure to the anatomy laboratory environment, allowing them to gain practical insight into the application of technological solutions within medical and forensic contexts. The organization and implementation of the workshop were carried out by students Haider Mitham Akram, Shahad Imad Hadi, Zahraa Hashim Ali, and Baraa Wadi Laibi, who demonstrated a high level of professionalism, coordination, and academic engagement. Their efforts reflected a strong commitment to expanding their scientific knowledge, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and bridging the gap between theoretical study and practical application. This workshop forms part of a broader series of scientific and training activities organized by the College of Information Technology, aimed at developing students’ technical and analytical skills, promoting interactive and experiential learning, and reinforcing the concept of interdisciplinary integration. It also underscores the college’s commitment to supporting innovative educational initiatives that align with contemporary academic standards and the evolving demands of the labor market.
