Academic Excellence of the Software Department at the College of Information Technology Leads to Research Participation in Ankara University Performance Awards

Within the framework of the scientific and research excellence demonstrated by the Software Department at the College of Information Technology, and in affirmation of its active academic presence in international scholarly forums, a distinguished doctoral dissertation has been selected to participate in the Graduate Student Performance Awards organized by Ankara University.

This selection reflects the sustained research efforts of the department in supporting applied and innovative scientific projects. The dissertation of Dr. Haider Fares Naji, Coordinator of Undergraduate Studies in the Software Department, entitled “Simulation of an Interactive Educational Model Based on Virtual Reality Technologies,” was chosen for its advanced scientific vision and its contribution to the development of interactive learning environments through the effective integration of virtual reality technologies in the educational process.

The Performance Awards are administered by the Institute of Science at Ankara University and encompass five principal academic domains: Sciences, Engineering, Agriculture, Applied Sciences, and Interdisciplinary Studies, with the aim of fostering research creativity and enhancing the quality and impact of graduate research outputs at the international level.

This participation underscores the advanced academic standing of the Software Department and the College of Information Technology, and reflects their continued commitment to promoting rigorous scientific research and strengthening academic collaboration with leading regional and international universities.
