The College of Information Technology Participates in the Sit-In of University of Babylon Staff Members

The College of Information Technology participated in the sit-in organized by staff members of the University of Babylon in response to the decision to suspend university allowances for employees of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The sit-in was attended by the Dean of the College, the Administrative and Scientific Assistants, and the Heads of Academic Departments, along with a number of faculty members and administrative staff. This participation reaffirmed their commitment to defending legitimate employment rights guaranteed by law, in accordance with the applicable regulations and official directives.
Participants emphasized that university staff exert significant and exceptional efforts in serving the educational process, which constitutes a fundamental pillar in building and advancing society. They also expressed their support for the government’s efforts to overcome the current challenges and their willingness to cooperate and explore appropriate alternatives, provided that such measures do not adversely affect their living conditions or compromise their job security and institutional stability.
