Within the framework of performance development and in line with achieving the objectives of the Riyada Initiative of the Council of Ministers, Eng. Mustafa Falah Kadhim, a lecturer assistant in the Department of Information Networks at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, participated as a representative of the University in a specialized workshop entitled “Entrepreneurship Trainers for Financing Private Sector Projects.” The workshop was organized by the Vocational Training Institute in Alexandria, Babylon Governorate, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

The workshop aimed to review and exchange the latest regulations, updates, and procedural guidelines related to financing private sector projects under the Riyada Initiative. It also focused on sharing practical experiences and discussing emerging developments in entrepreneurial project financing, with the goal of enhancing the effectiveness and professional capacity of trainers working in this field.

This workshop was held as part of the activities organized by the Babylon Governorate Office / Department of Labor and Vocational Training, and included in-depth discussions on key observations, challenges, and obstacles faced by Riyada trainers. Participants also presented a set of proposals and recommendations intended to improve performance and advance the quality of training outputs, in a manner consistent with national economic development goals and the promotion of the private sector.

This participation reflects the University of Babylon’s commitment to actively supporting national initiatives and strengthening the role of its academic staff in developmental and capacity-building programs, thereby contributing to community service and the promotion of entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth.
