Scientific Lecture Entitled “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Skills” at the College of Information Technology

As part of the college’s efforts to foster entrepreneurial capacities and enhance innovation skills, and within the activities of the Entrepreneurship, Creativity, and Innovation Week, the College of Information Technology, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific lecture entitled “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Skills.” The lecture was delivered by Dr. Safa Saad Al-Marab, a faculty member of the Department of Software Engineering, focusing on the practical and conceptual aspects of entrepreneurship and its role in developing creative ideas.

The lecture covered the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of innovation in transforming ideas into actionable initiatives and projects. It also highlighted key entrepreneurial skills, including creative thinking, prototype development, and aligning academic knowledge with the rapidly evolving demands of the labor market.

Dr. Al-Marab further stressed the pivotal role of academic institutions in empowering young talents, equipping students with both theoretical and practical skills that enhance their ability to innovate and compete, while linking academic learning with real-world applications.

The lecture witnessed active engagement from faculty members and students through interactive discussions and interventions, enriching the session’s content and aligning with the college’s commitment to supporting scientific and developmental activities that reinforce a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.
