Department of Software at the College of Information Technology Holds a Detailed Scientific Seminar for a PhD Student on Autonomous Driving Duha Fadill Abbas As part of its continuous scientific activities, the Department of Software at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, organized a detailed scientific seminar for PhD student Ali Obaid Hassan Batti, supervised by Prof. Dr. Nabil Al-Araji, within the framework of supporting scientific research and closely following postgraduate research projects. The seminar was held on Thursday, 12/02/2026, under the title “Autonomous Driving Using Liquid Neural Network,” during which the student delivered a comprehensive scientific presentation outlining the objectives and key aspects of his research. The study focused on employing Liquid Neural Networks (LNNs) in autonomous driving systems, a modern deep learning technique that has been adopted in this field for the first time due to its remarkable adaptability and its ability to make real-time decisions in dynamic environments. The research highlights how this advanced neural network architecture can enhance intelligent driving systems by enabling more efficient responses to constantly changing road conditions. The researcher explained that the dissertation aims to develop an intelligent model capable of improving the performance of autonomous driving systems by enhancing decision-making accuracy and response speed, thereby contributing to higher levels of safety and operational efficiency in AI-driven transportation technologies. The seminar witnessed a constructive scientific discussion attended by the scientific committee of the Department of Software, where valuable observations and academic recommendations were presented to strengthen the research aspects of the study and further enhance its scientific and practical value.
