Within the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women Peace and Security 2025 2030 and in alignment with the Protection and Prevention Pillar Anti Violence First Paragraph Professional Skills the Department of Software at the College of Information Technology organized an awareness seminar entitled Professional Managerial and Technical Skills Required in the Job Market The seminar was delivered by Asst Prof Dr Feryal Jasim Abdul Razzaq and Dr Sura Jasim Mohammed as part of ongoing academic efforts aimed at developing students competencies and preparing them to meet the evolving requirements of the modern labor market.

The seminar highlighted the importance of acquiring diverse skill sets that have become essential for professional success in the context of rapid digital transformation emphasizing the vital role of integrating technical managerial and personal competencies in enhancing employability and achieving professional excellence.

The seminar aimed to raise students awareness of the importance of developing professional skills aligned with current labor market demands while strengthening the connection between academic education outcomes and employment needs It also focused on enhancing students ability to adapt to accelerating technological and managerial changes.

The seminar addressed several key themes including the significance of professional skills in the modern labor market the impact of digital transformation on job requirements and approaches to bridging the gap between education and employment It further examined the nature of the labor market during 2025 2026 which increasingly requires a combination of technical skills such as programming data analysis and artificial intelligence managerial skills including leadership and strategic planning and personal competencies such as communication adaptability and problem solving The seminar emphasized that achieving professional success depends on balancing specialized knowledge with soft skills.

The seminar witnessed positive interaction from attendees through discussions and contributions that enriched the session and reflected the Colleges commitment to supporting awareness oriented and academic activities aimed at strengthening professional competencies and enhancing students readiness for integration into the contemporary job market
