Google Developer Student Club at the College of Information Technology Organizes a New Session of the Ramadan Bytes Program

In line with the objectives of the Google Developer Student Club at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, which seeks to support students, enhance their technical competencies, and strengthen their connection with real-world professional experiences in the field of information technology, the club organized a new session ضمن the Ramadan Bytes program. This initiative continues to provide purposeful dialogue-based events that facilitate the transfer of practical expertise and broaden students’ perspectives regarding their academic and professional pathways.

The session was moderated by Ali Nasser, who hosted two distinguished and creative leaders in the technology sector, Hassan Jabbar and Mohammed Abboud. The discussion presented diverse and inspiring professional experiences that reflected different dimensions of success within the technology industry and its contemporary applications.

During the session, Hassan Jabbar shared his inspiring professional journey, highlighting his transition from Petroleum Engineering to Software Development. He discussed key milestones in his academic and career path, as well as the establishment of his company, “Raqeem,” in addition to his active role in supporting the developer community and contributing to the growth of the local technology ecosystem through various initiatives and professional engagements.

The session also shed light on the experience of Mohammed Abboud as one of the distinguished graduates in the field of Cybersecurity, having ranked first in his class. It further explored his current professional role as a Cybersecurity Engineer and a specialist at the Security Operations Center (SOC) in Qi Card Company, where he outlined important aspects of working in this critical field and emphasized the significance of academic excellence and specialization in building a successful professional career.

In addition, the discussion addressed several themes related to students’ professional development, including the importance of diversifying experiences, making effective use of available opportunities, and building specialized technical skills. It also emphasized the role of academic diligence and lifelong learning in reaching advanced professional positions within the technology sector.

The session witnessed notable engagement from students through questions and interactive contributions that enriched the discussion and provided valuable insight into diverse real-life experiences within the technical job market. This reflects the vital role played by the Google Developer Student Club in supporting the student community and promoting a culture of innovation, professional growth, and continuous learning within the College of Information Technology.
