As part of the ongoing series of scientific activities organized by the University of Babylon to enhance research capabilities among postgraduate students and researchers, the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Information Technology held a scientific seminar entitled "The Modern Scientific Publishing in a Suitable and High-Rank Journal." The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Faiz Ali Rashid and attended by a number of postgraduate students and researchers interested in academic publishing and professional development.

The seminar aimed to equip researchers with the knowledge and skills necessary to select appropriate and high-ranking scientific journals, and to familiarize them with best practices in modern scholarly publishing to ensure the quality, credibility, and impact of their research outcomes. It also introduced methodological tools and practical strategies that enable participants to critically evaluate journals and verify their reliability prior to submission.

Key topics covered in the seminar included global journal evaluation standards, characteristics of reputable journals, and indicators to distinguish trustworthy journals from predatory or deceptive publications. Additionally, participants were introduced to a range of digital platforms and electronic tools that facilitate verification of journal credibility and support rigorous academic publishing.
