The College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon Organizes a Seminar on the Economic Empowerment of Iraqi Women and Enhancing Their Participation in the Labor Market

The College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Economic Development of Iraqi Women and Their Entry into the Labor Market,” as part of the activities of the second axis under the pillar of protection and prevention, on March 30, 2026.
The seminar was conducted in collaboration with a distinguished group of faculty members, namely Dr. Safaa Saad Abbas and Ms. Feryal Jassim Abdul Razzaq, who presented key topics focusing on the economic empowerment of women and the enhancement of their active participation in the labor market.
The event targeted both male and female students, aiming to raise awareness of the vital economic role of women, highlight the major challenges they face within professional environments, and propose practical solutions to support their effective integration across various sectors.
This seminar reflects the ongoing efforts of the College of Information Technology to support sustainable development goals and strengthen the role of women in national economic development by fostering a supportive educational and societal environment that promotes genuine empowerment of Iraqi women.
