College of Information Technology Participates in the First Student Cultural Festival (Pulse of Creativity) with Digital Projects Supporting Sustainable Development Goals

Within the framework of its continuous support for academic and student activities, and its commitment to enhancing student engagement in meaningful university events, the College of Information Technology places significant emphasis on participating in scientific and cultural festivals and exhibitions that highlight youth potential and contribute to the development of students’ skills and creative capacities. In line with this approach, the College took part in the First Student Cultural Festival “Pulse of Creativity,” held as part of the University of Babylon’s celebrations marking its 35th anniversary, with the presence of university presidency, deans of colleges, academic staff, and students.

During the festival, the College of Information Technology presented a distinguished collection of student digital projects that reflected the high level of creativity and technical proficiency of its students. These projects emphasized the role of information technology in serving society and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of digital transformation, artificial intelligence solutions, and intelligent systems that contribute to improving quality of life.

The President of the University commended the presented projects during his visit to the exhibition stands, affirming that these academic outputs represent the outcome of dedicated scientific and practical efforts within the academic departments. He further highlighted the College’s vision in supporting student innovation and integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, thereby contributing to the preparation of graduates capable of meeting labor market demands and keeping pace with technological development.

Heads of departments also emphasized the importance of such participations in developing students’ capabilities and strengthening teamwork and creativity, noting that the College gives special attention to projects that address sustainable development issues and provide innovative technological solutions to contemporary challenges.

The College pavilion featured a range of digital projects and student innovations that received strong appreciation from attendees due to their modern ideas and practical applications with strong potential for further development, reflecting the academic advancement of the College.

This participation comes as part of the College of Information Technology’s commitment to actively engage in university activities, support talented students, and foster a culture of innovation and creativity in the field of technology.
