As part of its ambitious academic vision to foster a culture of innovation and strengthen the integration between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and within its continuous efforts to prepare students with advanced skills capable of keeping pace with rapid technological developments and transforming ideas into effective technical solutions, the College of Information Technology organized a distinguished scientific seminar titled “From Idea to Implementation: A Methodological Roadmap for Software Projects.” The seminar was delivered by Mr. Yasser Saad Joudi from the Department of Software and Mr. Shukr Hamed Shaker from the Department of Cybersecurity. This seminar embodied the College’s direction toward supporting applied learning and expanding students’ understanding of real-world software development processes through a structured and systematic approach. It also served as a rich academic platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of practical experiences, and highlighting modern best practices in building software systems, contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of innovation and distinguished technological production.

The seminar aimed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the practical lifecycle of software project development and to enhance their ability to apply theoretical concepts in real-world contexts, thereby preparing them for the labor market and enabling them to develop effective technological solutions that meet user needs.

The seminar covered advanced scientific topics focusing on the importance of following a structured methodological roadmap in software development, given its role in reducing risks, improving product quality, and accelerating the delivery of real value to users. It presented the key stages of project development, starting with precise problem definition and analytical clarification of objectives, followed by requirements gathering from stakeholders to ensure alignment with real needs. The discussion then moved to system analysis, which examines system components and their interactions, and finally to system design, which forms the foundation for building scalable and robust software architectures. In addition, modern tools relevant to each stage were introduced, along with practical and applicable recommendations to help students execute their projects efficiently and systematically.

The seminar also highlighted the importance of structured planning, time management, and teamwork in ensuring the success of software projects, as well as addressing common challenges students may encounter and methods to effectively overcome them using scientific and technical approaches.
The event witnessed strong engagement from attending students, who showed significant interest in the presented topics due to their direct impact on enhancing practical skills and preparing them for professional careers.

This seminar is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College of Information Technology aimed at supporting students and equipping them with advanced practical skills that contribute to preparing a generation of developers capable of innovation and transforming ideas into successful technological solutions.
