College of Information Technology Unleashes Innovation at Its Annual Exhibition… Student Projects Shaping the Future

In an exceptional scene filled with energy and creativity, reflecting the true spirit of technological excellence, the College of Information Technology at the University of Babylon launched its most prominent and impactful event—the Annual Information Technology Exhibition for student projects—under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Amin Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Wesam Sameer Bahya. The exhibition transformed into a vibrant platform where innovative ideas met real achievement, showcasing students’ efforts translated into tangible projects that reflect advanced levels of creativity and professionalism. This major event was held ضمن the University’s Cultural Week, reaffirming the College’s position as a leading hub of innovation driving digital transformation forward.
The exhibition was not merely a traditional display of graduation projects; rather, it represented a qualitative event embodying the College’s identity as a center for technological creativity. Participation extended beyond final-year students to include distinguished contributions from students across various academic levels, presenting innovative ideas and projects that demonstrated that creativity within the College is not confined to a specific stage but is a deeply rooted culture nurtured from the early years.
The showcased projects presented advanced models in fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, smart systems, web applications, and digital solutions aligned with sustainable development goals. These works reflected a high level of professionalism and innovation, highlighting students’ ability to transform knowledge into practical applications with real societal value.
The exhibition was sponsored by the Scientific Engineers Club, Al-Naseem Computer Company, and Al-Naba Company, reflecting a strong integration between the College and both the technological and community sectors in supporting innovation and empowering young talents.
The event was attended by prominent figures from various governmental and private institutions, including the First Deputy Governor of Babylon, representatives from Hala Babylon Company, the Iraqi Programmers Syndicate, Hammurabi Consulting Group, Anbar Operations Command, the Directorate of Communications and Information Systems, the Technical Assistant Commander of Babylon Police, the Urban Planning Directorate in Babylon, Al-Kafeel Center for Information Technology, the Administrative Assistant to the Governor, the Vice President of the Babylon Chamber of Commerce, representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Cybersecurity Directorate, Babylon Police Command, Karbala Businessmen Union, and the Communications and Information Security Department at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine.
During his tour of the exhibition, the University President expressed great admiration for the presented projects, praising the students’ creativity and their ability to deliver high-quality technological solutions with real practical value that serve various sectors. He emphasized that this level of excellence reflects the strength of the academic environment within the College and its capability to prepare students with advanced skills to actively contribute to technological development.
The attendees also expressed their admiration for the outstanding level of the projects, noting that they exceeded expectations in both concept and implementation. Many highlighted the remarkable potential of the students, affirming that these projects represent a solid foundation for innovative solutions that can be further developed to serve society and various institutions.
