As part of ongoing efforts to economically empower Iraqi women, the College of Information Technology organized a scientific seminar titled “Establishing a Women-Led Tech Project Using Digital Skills” on April 21, 2026, with the participation of a distinguished group of specialists in the technological field.
The seminar was delivered by Ms. Duha Fadil Abbas, with contributions from Mr. Yasser Saad Joudi and Mr. Shukr Hamed Shaker. The speakers highlighted the importance of leveraging digital skills to build women-led technological projects capable of competing effectively in the labor market.
The seminar addressed key topics including mechanisms for transforming ideas into successful digital ventures, as well as strategies for utilizing modern technologies to create sustainable employment opportunities for women. It also emphasized fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation within the technology sector.
This initiative falls within the second pillar: the economic development of Iraqi women, which aims to enhance women’s financial independence and strengthen their role in the national economy by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to establish and manage their own enterprises.
