Software Department Organizes a Training Course on Reference Management and Scientific Research

The Software Department, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Information Technology, organized a training course titled "Your Comprehensive Guide to Reference Management and Research." The course was delivered by Dr. Hussein Ali Ismail and Dr. Iman Kazem Aboud, both faculty members of the department.

The two-day training targeted fourth-year students, aiming to equip them with the necessary skills to prepare their graduation projects efficiently and professionally by utilizing advanced digital tools for reference management.

The course provided a detailed overview of Mendeley, covering installation, interface setup, adding and organizing scientific sources, and integrating the tool with Microsoft Word. Additionally, participants learned how to insert citations within the text, merge multiple references when needed, and generate a reference list according to academic standards.

This initiative aimed to enhance students proficiency in managing references using modern digital tools, ultimately contributing to improving the quality of their graduation projects and ensuring they adhere to proper academic guidelines.
