The Department of Information Networks at the College of Information Technology organized a workshop titled "The Future of Attendance Registration Systems" at Hammurabi College of Medicine. The session was presented by Lecturer Nebras Abdul Redha, alongside a group of students from the department. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Wesam Sameer Bahiya, Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Hadi Mohammed Ali, Dean of Hammurabi College of Medicine, as well as the scientific assistant, esteemed faculty members, staff from the registration department, and several students.

The workshop addressed the significance of attendance registration systems in academic institutions and the role of technology in enhancing their accuracy and efficiency. It also explored the latest advancements in the field, including magnetic cards, biometric fingerprint systems, mobile applications, and smart cameras. Additionally, Zain Al-Abidin Haidar, a fourth-year student from the Department of Information Networks, presented his project on attendance registration using QR codes. He explained the working mechanism of the system, the challenges it faces, and proposed solutions to prevent fraud and manipulation.

The event witnessed active engagement and insightful discussions on ways to further develop these systems, contributing to the advancement of digital transformation in educational institutions.
