Training Workshop on the Integrated DFMS Platform to Promote Digital Transformation in Official Document and Correspondence Management Duhaa Fadill Abbas Under the patronage and direct support of the Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Wesam Sameer Bhaya, and under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Ameer Al-Haq Adel Sahib, the College organized a specialized training workshop on the “Document Flow Management System (DFMS) Integrated Platform.” The workshop, conducted in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to institutionalize digital governance and establish a sustainable work environment. The workshop was delivered by Mr. Qasim Abdul-Kadhim Farhoud—the creator and developer of the DFMS platform—alongside Engineer Sinan Ali Mahdi and Engineer Mustafa Falah Kadhim. It specifically targeted employees and authorized personnel responsible for operating the internal official correspondence system. The training program featured a comprehensive presentation on the platform’s functionality and detailed demonstrations of all available interfaces. Emphasis was placed on the practical aspects of using the system, including the electronic registration and archiving of official documents, management of incoming and outgoing correspondence, and the utilization of classification and search tools. The workshop was marked by active engagement from participants, who received hands-on training in executing daily administrative tasks within the system. The DFMS platform represents a key developmental initiative aimed at eliminating the reliance on traditional paper-based communication and adopting flexible electronic solutions that align with contemporary administrative demands. Since its inception, the project has received consistent support from the college administration. The presenters emphasized that the implementation of the DFMS platform constitutes a strategic step in the college’s broader digital transformation agenda, given the system’s capacity to enhance operational efficiency, ensure accurate archiving, and expedite administrative procedures. This workshop is part of a broader series of training programs and activities through which the college seeks to build the capacity of its administrative staff and foster a workplace driven by smart systems and modern technologies. These efforts align with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for comprehensive digital transformation.
