The Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Information Technology Successfully Concludes the Summer Training for Third-Year Students Duhaa Fadill Abbas Third-year students in the Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Information Technology have successfully completed their summer field training, which was organized in two batches: the first in July and the second in August. The training was conducted under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Ubaid, with the guidance of the academic staff overseeing the program. The training encompassed a diverse range of specialized practical sites, providing students with experiences that reflected their academic background and acquired skills in various cybersecurity domains, including network protection, malware analysis, security system management, and information safeguarding. This practical exposure enabled students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts, thereby enhancing their comprehensive understanding of contemporary techniques and methodologies used in the field of cybersecurity. During follow-up visits to the training locations, the academic team carefully assessed the students’ progress and provided practical guidance to further develop their professional competencies. The team emphasized that this experience serves as a critical bridge between academic learning and the professional environment, representing an essential component in preparing qualified personnel to address future digital security challenges. Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Ubaid highlighted that the summer training significantly contributed to refining students’ technical and practical skills and improving their professional readiness. He also commended the cooperation between the academic staff and the training institutions in successfully achieving the program’s objectives.
